Frequently asked questions.

How do you capture clear audio for the ceremony and reception speeches?

West Vision Films uses 3 external lavalier microphones during each wedding ceremony. The Groom and Officiant will each have small lavalier microphones discreetly clipped on their jacket or collar. The third microphone will be hooked into the wedding venues audio board. Three different audio sources ensures that every moment is captured and backed up on different devices. For Reception Speeches, an audio device will be plugged into the wedding venues audio board, along with a backup audio device on the podium. Your wedding day is very special so we take all necessary precautions to ensure all audio is very clear and back ups are put in place.

How does the Multi Camera Ceremony Video work?

Each Ceremony is filmed on a total of 3 cameras. The main camera will be mounted to a professional camera stabilizer which will be operated by Wes, and freely following the action throughout the whole ceremony. The other two cameras will be mounted on tripods at both sides of the venue. Capturing the front stage, wedding party, and wedding vows. The final Ceremony Edit will be a full length ceremony video using the best footage from all three cameras.

How is music selected for my wedding film?

All music is legally licensed through the online platform MusicBed. I tend to use more cinematic and elegant music scores so I can overlay intimate audio pieces from wedding vows and speeches. If custom music is requested from client, they acknowledge that copyright claims might result in videos not being able to be shared online.
